Do I need to install any addon in my Odoo? ▼
No. The KMEE AI Gateway connects to Odoo via XML-RPC — the same protocol Odoo uses internally. No addon, no changes to your instance, no risk of incompatibility.
Does it work with my Odoo version? ▼
Yes. The gateway supports Odoo 12 through 22+ (Community and Enterprise). The exact version doesn't matter — if your Odoo has XML-RPC enabled (default), it works.
How does security work? Does my data go to the cloud? ▼
The gateway acts as a proxy — it receives the AI agent's request, queries your Odoo, and returns the response. Data travels over TLS but is not permanently stored. Only audit logs (model, method, status) are retained for your plan's period.
Can I limit which data ChatGPT accesses? ▼
Yes. Per API key you configure which Odoo models are accessible (e.g., only sale.order and account.invoice), which methods are allowed (search_read but not write), and which fields can be returned. Granular access without programming.
Does KMEE host the gateway or can I run it on my own infra? ▼
On Basic, Pro, and Ultra plans the gateway runs on KMEE infrastructure (DigitalOcean). On the Enterprise plan, self-hosting on your own infra is available with KMEE support.
How does Claude use the gateway? ▼
Via MCP (Model Context Protocol). The gateway exposes 11 MCP tools that Claude can call: search records, read fields, count, group, etc. In Claude Code, just add the gateway as a local MCP server (stdio or HTTP).
